Bust of Canons
Goddess Durga, a 14th century Nepalese antiquity from the Metropolitan Musuem of Art in New York is armed with weapons lent by male gods to battle a demon called Mahisha. I interpret this mythology by 3-D printing and body scanning myself as a contemporary form. Made of surveillance and desire economy technology Mahisha becomes female adversity.
Snake Skin
This series of reconstructed columns wraps unique handmade Kashmiri rugs around its profile. I am wrapping power with power as these architectural features support structures, but also train people to understand imperial ideologies. The shift in weightless foam and its hollow resin center suggests the theatrical nature of power.

Seats
Stripping the object of its functionality, Seats shift the viewer’s expectations of comfort leaving a possible wonder of when and where to sit. Composed of pleather, trimming, prayer rugs, and hijabs, the organic shapes also incorporate hooks and bulges to unsettle domestic and industrial ideas of upholstering, or covering.
