[Feat. ], On Whiteness, 2018, at The Kitchen.
The second iteration of the lowered ceiling made from acoustic speaker fabric and wood framing with a black and gold plexiglass chandelier that spins on a disco-motor. The lowered ceiling featured at The Kitchen shares a musical sound track that takes shape from the history of the Glock. The Glock, was a popular civilian gun, because of its safety features, many people bought and traded this gun in the late 80’s and the 90’s, much music was manufactured from the culture this gun created. Its advent used by NATO, however the United State went with the Barrette, a clunky and hard to use weapon, that most police officers, especially rookies fail to use correctly. The Glock, mostly a light weight plastic gun, was misrepresented as a dangerous weapon in the US, popularize by Bruce Willis in the movie Die Hard 2, was actually effective, safe, and used by most every other country on the list of NATO as official arms.
